To celebrate the centennial of the historic Victoria Harbour Migratory Bird Sanctuary (VHMBS), a coalition of conservation groups is hosting events from October 26 – 28, 2023.

  • A Soiree Celebration at the Delta Ocean Pointe Hotel, Thursday October 26 ($50).
  • Celebration events Friday October 27 – Saturday October 28, (includes field trips, presentations and workshops – $190.00). If you are a current member of BC Nature or any of the federated clubs i.e., Victoria Natural History Society and Rocky Point Bird Observatory you will receive the discounted price of $160.00.
  • After completion of your registration, please download this waiver and save to your device and email completed waiver to info@vhmbs.com

Registration fee $50.00 – includes admission, a free drink ticket, and appetizers.

Includes a one-year membership to BC Nature.

There will be concurrent workshops on Friday afternoon, with time for you to participate in two of these workshops. To assist us with planning, please indicate which two workshops you plan to attend.

Field Trips

TIME: 8:30 – 11:30 am Field Trips – Various locations
Please review the list of available field trips (Additional information is provided on our website).
NOTE: : that you will need your own transport to and from the field trip starting point. (If you are looking to get a ride or willing to offer a ride, please indicate below.)
Space is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Most field trips are offered both on Friday and Saturday (some only on one day.)
NOTE: that for the boat tour with Eagle Wings, there is an additional cost of $147.00 and you will be required to sign a waiver. All other field trips are included in the registration fee.
Please indicate your first choice and second choice for each day. If both of your options are full, we will contact you to discuss options.
