Langley Field Naturalists Society

Langley Field Naturalists

Club interests: Langley Field Naturalists enjoy and learn about nature through field trips and from our monthly program speakers. We also have weekly evening summer walks.

We participate in the Christmas Bird Count plus other local counts. We do wildlife and plant surveys when requested by Langley Township, Langley City, Metro Vancouver or the B.C. Government. These surveys contribute to the protection of Langley’s natural areas. We are long-term stewards of the Forslund-Watson Wildlife Area, in partnership with the provincial government.

To engage with our community, we participate in community events with our information table and speak at local libraries about topics such as butterflies and birds.  We help as hosts at the Campbell Valley Nature House. As well, we lead field trips for children in schools or community programs and we financially support Nicomekl NatureKids.
