Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada
The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada (WPEFC) is devoted to the conservation and stewardship of whitebark and limber pine ecosystems. Founded in 2009, as a Canadian chapter to our American counterpart, both organizations work to conserve and restore these vulnerable ecosystems.
Over the past decade, WPEFC has been instrumental in coordinating projects that promote recovery work, engage public and private partners, support research, and conduct educational programs to further knowledge, expertise, and management of these systems across their Canadian ranges. Collaborating with government, industry, academia, and other non-profit societies we aim to improve outcomes for these endangered ecosystems.
The WPEF-C is devoted to the conservation and stewardship of whitebark and limber pine ecosystems through partnerships, science-based active management, restoration, research and education.
