The Mysterious and Elusive Bobcat
I was out and about in January, 2021 and was so extremely lucky to come across one of the biggest bobcats I've ever seen in my life. I shot a series of photos of him hunting, then he froze in his tracks when he heard my shutter and saw me. He hunched down in the snow to consider his options - attack, run or carry on. He chose to carry on and I chose to carry on my way so I didn't disrupt his activities. I spent 1 minute and 39 seconds with him. As I walked away, I stopped to turn around and take one last look. He was pouncing on something. So great to see this animal thriving so well. An absolutely beautiful encounter with this exquisite bobcat. Lucky me!
